Xiang Xiang Phung named Accounting Department's Spring 2016 Outstanding Graduate
Thu, 05/12/2016 - 11:46amXiang Xiang Phung has been selected as the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration Accounting Department’s Outstanding Graduate for the Spring 2016 semester.
Maintaining a 3.7 cumulative GPA, Phung has been recognized on the President’s and Dean’s List for several semesters. She has also received the Vermillion International Scholarship from Fall 2012 to Spring 2016, the Beta Alpha Psi Scholarship for Fall 2014, the Accounting Department Scholarship for Fall 2015 and the College of Business Administration Alumni Chapter Scholarship from 2015 to 2016.
In addition to her academic achievements, Phung is also an active member of several on campus organizations including Beta Alpha Psi, Institute of Management of Accountants (IMA), Malaysian, Indonesian, Singapore Students Organization (MISSO), International Students Council (ISC) and Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.
Throughout her college career, Phung has volunteered at several on campus and community events. After graduation, Phung will sit for the CPA exam. She hopes to work in a CPA Firm and become a partner. After she gains more work experience, Phung hopes to potentially start her own CPA firm.
Originally from Malaysia, Phung also hopes to earn a master’s degree in international accounting to learn about the diversity in the field of accounting in different countries.
