Britney Hatfield named Spring 2021 Moody College of Business Outstanding Graduate
Wed, 05/05/2021 - 8:42amBritney Hatfield is the Spring 2021 Outstanding Graduate for the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. An accounting and finance major with a 4.0 GPA, Hatfield was among four finalists for the award.
Hatfield has been on the President’s List. She was the recipient of the William Brady III Endowed Scholarship, Virginia & Gerald Goertz Scholarship, Charles & Billie Burley Scholarship, and the Accounting Department Scholarship, among others. Hatfield completed internships with Darnall, Sikes & Frederick and Singleton, Kellner, Bolding, Avant, and Associates.
Hatfield has been a member of the Honors Program, Beta Alpha Psi, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Society of Louisiana CPAs, the Association of Future Alumni, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Soil and Water Conservation Society.
She served as Treasurer of Beta Alpha Psi, Treasurer of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, and Marketing Director for The Big Event. She is the recipient of the UL Lafayette Top Scholars award and the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sister of Wisdom award.
Her community service activities include D.R.E.A.M.S. of Acadiana, Sigma Sigma Sigma philanthropy events, The Big Event, St. Joseph’s Diner, and Beta Alpha Psi philanthropy events.
After graduation, Hatfield plans to work at a local CPA firm while preparing for the Certified Public Accountant Examination. Upon receiving her license, she hopes to continue her education by obtaining additional certifications.
She is the daughter of Dan and Vicki Hatfield of Luling, La.
