UL Lafayette's Executive MBA (EMBA) is a unique program for executives and senior managers. The program focuses on experience-driven learning and features a curriculum that addresses topics relevant to an experienced professional.
Designed With You in Mind
A cohort of participants will enroll at one point in time and complete the program together over 16 months (approximate). The program is taught at an accelerated pace. Classes are held every other Friday afternoon or evening and all day Saturday.

Candidate Requirements
The following criteria will be taken into consideration:
- Total years of professional/ business work experience (7 or more years)
- Years of significant managerial experience (5 or more years)
- Level of current position (early to mid-level manager or higher)
- Maturity (ability to interact well in cohort-based program)
- Undergraduate university
- Undergraduate Major
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited American University
- Undergraduate grade point average
- Any graduate degree
- GMAT score required (may be waived based on other factors) *
- Personal interview demonstrating potential to succeed in program
- Resume and letter of interest
It is expected that successful applicants will have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and a GMAT score of at least 450. Exceptions may be made based on professional experience, undergraduate background, and/ or other professional factors.
Any and all other requirements of the Graduate School for admission must be complied with (application, application fee, three letters of reference, transcripts from all universities/colleges attended, resume, and personal statement). Specific admissions requirements are available on the Graduate School website.
*An application with significant and extensive management, supervisory, technical, or executive work experience may have the GMAT requirement waived. The request for the waiver must be made in writing to the MBA director at the time of application. The request must set forth a detailed explanation of the basis for the request including a comprehensive description of their work experience.
